Enchanted Ballroom instructors have received years of the highest quality of training in all styles of dancing. We are very proud to have extremely high level teachers instructing our weekly group classes.
We find that Beginners especially like the opportunity to meet and dance with other novice dancers. Because dancers have different heights, personalities, and skill levels, the group lesson is the perfect blend of instruction and social ambiance. Usually, instructors will instruct the gentlemen part first and the ladies part next, followed by putting couples together.
People are given the opportunity to rotate partners frequently throughout the group class or stay with one partner, if they wish. All Beginner Group Classes are open to the public!
The social aspect is arguably the best part of ballroom dancing. At Ultimate Ballroom Dance Studio, we offer special events to provide that social interaction while still in an educational atmosphere. These events include our group classes.
In our group classes, students are given the opportunity to work with each other while either learning new steps to a new dance in our beginner classes or learning finer elements of body movements in our advanced classes. All of our group classes are designed to help you learn key elements that will further grow your skill and confidence. No partner is necessary to join our group classes. While you are pr ovided with the opportunity to practice in a social atmosphere, our classes are specially tailored to teach fundamental steps and figures that are easily learned and practiced by the individual.
We encourage you to take the fundamentals and skill learned in our group classes to our open dance parties each month on the Third Thursday. For more information regarding these events, please see our Social Dance Parties page.

How does a group class work? Group classes focus on one dance style, for example – East Coast Swing, each class. We focus on establishing the foundation of the dance style, and accustom the class dance level according to the participants.
Our group classes are beginner friendly, as well as beneficial for the more experienced dancer. We implement patterns and figures appropriate to all of the participants dancing skills, no matter what level. Please ask your instructor for guidance if you are unsure of which group class is best for you.
What if the group class progresses too quickly or slowly for me?
Group classes are designed for to practice what you have learned in your private lessons, based on the planned materials as well as the average skill and learning capacity of the group. If a class moves too quickly for you, we would advise for you to speak with your instructor so your instructor can plan a private lesson to focus on any unclear information you learned in the group lesson. Private Lessons move 100% at your own pace, and focus 100% on your areas of interest. You will retain more information from class if you practice throughout the week.
For dancers who want to achieve superior technique or choreography, group classes will not be sufficient to cultivate competition-level skills. In fact all championship level competitors take private lessons almost exclusively. Private Lessons are your most effective learning tool.
However Group Classes will benefit you great for practicing and getting more comforable on the dance floor, it is a perfect social envirement, where you will meet people, who hupefully like you share the same passion of dance.
